Babolat Air Veron 2.6 (2026)
Teardrop

Best for defensive intermediate players who want comfort, speed and control over smash power.
A light, comfortable control racket for defensive and all-court players who build points with depth and placement rather than force. It suits intermediate and advanced players, and women in particular, who want a gentle impact and quick hands at the net. The price of that ease is finishing power, so heavy smashers should look elsewhere.
Decent rather than headline: the Wonder sends the ball deep without effort, but smashes and aggressive overheads lack the reserve of an attacking racket. Players who finish points with heavy overheads will want something with more punch.
Strong for such a light racket. Lobs and bandejas come out deep and repeatable, and blocks and placement stay tidy, so it rewards players who set up the next ball. Spin is solid but unremarkable on the lightly textured surface.
The standout trait. The teardrop frame, about 355 g with a medium balance, swings through the air with very little effort, so late volleys, blocks and recovery shots stay tidy at the net.
Forgiving rather than huge. Off-centre hits still return a playable ball, although the forgiveness has a ceiling when heavy pace meets a mishit.
Gentle on the arm, with a medium-soft impact that suits long sessions. One tester found the touch a little firmer than the soft label suggests, so reviews are not fully aligned on feel.
