Teardrop

Best for recreational and intermediate players wanting a light, soft, easy racket; skip it if you hit hard or smash flat.
A light, soft, quick-handling racket for recreational and intermediate players who want help getting the ball deep without swinging hard. It makes a sensible first step up from a basic round frame and is good value as a friendly all-rounder. Strong hitters reach its limit early, and it gives up precision and finishing power to the carbon-faced models in its family.
Useful rather than heavy. The soft fibreglass face and modest mass launch the ball easily from short swings, but on long swings the face gives and the ball leaves early, so strong hitters hit the limit quickly. Flat smashes lack the heavy feel of a firmer, denser racket.
Fine for placing the ball in relaxed rallies, with natural length on bandejas, lobs and resets. Direction fades near the rim and against fast balls, and the soft face helps output more than precision, so it is not the choice for surgical defence.
The standout quality. At about 345 g with an even balance the head arrives fast on reaction volleys and recovers quickly after bandejas and emergency defence, so hands stay quick at the net.

Suggest a correctionMedium in size and forgiving on central and mildly off-centre contact. The soft face twists a little when the ball is struck wide or the pace rises, and direction suffers there.
Soft and cushioned, with a lively but never harsh rebound. It asks little effort on defensive lobs and resets, so long sessions stay easy on the arm.
