Best for intermediate to advanced attackers who want a forgiving, easy-exit diamond; skip it if you want a hard, crisp hit.
A forgiving diamond for intermediate and advanced players who like to attack but want a gentler hit than most diamonds give. It takes the firm Edge format and fits a friendlier face, so the ball leaves easily even when you are late or off centre. Sweet spot and handling are its strengths, while smash power is solid rather than crisp. It suits a developing attacker or anyone who wants a forgiving attacking tool.
Solid rather than explosive. A committed swing sends the ball deep, but flat smashes lack the dry authority of a stiff carbon diamond, so it rewards a full swing more than a quick punch.
Reliable on defence, less so on delicate touch. Lobs and resets from the back glass come out dependably, but the easy rebound can run long on drop shots, so they need a relaxed hand.
Quick for a diamond. It keeps up in fast exchanges at the net and the balance feels manageable instead of punishingly head-heavy, though against heavy, deep balls you need to prepare early.
Large for a diamond, and the main reason to pick it. Rushed volleys, blocks near the body and overheads struck a little wide of centre stay stable, and the ball still exits easily when you are late.
Easier on the arm than the firm Edge it is based on, because the softer face filters vibration. Some players find the impact a touch muted next to a crisp carbon hit.
