Our verdict
Intermediate and advanced players who like an attacking diamond but want a soft, forgiving hit get the easiest racket in the Extreme family. Fiberglass and Power FOAM give lively depth at medium effort and plenty of help from defense, while the smooth face and soft response mean the top-end smash speed and spin sit below the carbon versions.
- Best for
- intermediate and improving advanced players
- attackers who want a soft feel
- players who defend a lot
- Skip if
- you want maximum smash speed
- you rely on spin from a rough face
- you hit very hard and need a rigid face
How it plays
Power
Power score7.5
Easy pace at low and medium effort, but the ceiling is lower than the carbon Extremes. The soft face compresses on a full flat smash, and the reviews disagree on how much finishing speed it really has.
Control
Control score8.0
The reviews disagree here. Depth and direction are reliable on clean, prepared contact and bandeja and vibora feel stable, but hard pace and late balls can open the face and cost placement.
Maneuverability
Maneuverability score8.3
Quick and easy to move. The neutral 26.5 cm balance recovers fast after volleys and reacts well in rapid exchanges at the net.
Sweet spot
Sweet spot score8.3
Wide and forgiving: central, lateral and low contacts keep useful depth. Hard off-centre blocks still twist the face a little, so it is generous rather than rock-solid.
Feel
Soft, elastic impact that is gentle on the arm over long sessions. The fiberglass face absorbs shock and the response never turns harsh.
